DEPB scheme extended till further orders
by Jo BlackIndian federal government has announced that the Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB) Scheme, one of the most transparent exporter-friendly Scheme, was valid for shipments upto 31-03-2008, has been extended till further orders.
This will facilitate shipments to be allowed under the Scheme by the field formations of Customs even beyond 31/03/2008.
Further, the DEPB rates announced w.e.f. 1/4/2007 and subsequent amendments made therein, shall continue for all exports under DEPB Scheme even after 31/03/2008.
