CII delegation to visit Kazakhstan
by Jo BlackThe Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a non-government, not-for-profit, industry managed organization, which plays a proactive role in India’s development process, is sending a 15 member delegation to Astana – Kazakhstan.
This is the second CII Delegation to visit Kazakhstan.
The high level delegation headed by Mr. Syamal Gupta, member CII National Council and Chairman TATA International, will coincide with the Asia Society’s 2nd international Business conference in Astana - Kazakhstan on 12th to 14th June 2008.
The other members in the CII mission represent areas of bilateral interest such as the energy, auto components, financial services, jewelry, food processing and infrastructure.
During the three day visit the delegation will meet prominent leaders from The Kazak Government and the Business community.
The Indian delegation is also schedule to meet Mr. Imangali Tasmagambetov Mayor of Astana and Mr. B. Akchulakov, Vice Minister for energy & Mineral Resources, government of Kazakhstan.
The CII Delegation is scheduled to meet the President and members of “Atamaken” - (The National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan). CII will sign an MOU with Atamaken.
Besides this, the delegation will participate at the Asia Society’s conference.
The delegation will also have several bilateral meetings between the delegation members and the business leaders from the CIS Region and visiting delegations from around the world who would have converged for this International event at Astana.
