CII mining mission to Australia
by Jenny HodgeConfederation of Indian Industry (CII) is sending a 19 member Mining delegation to visit Australia from 20th to 28th July 2008 coinciding with the Queensland International Mining Exhibition (QME 2008) at Mackey, Australia. The visit of the delegation has been organized in cooperation with the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade).
The delegation will explore business opportunities for the Indian companies in the mining sector of Australia, as well as to promote Indian mining and mining equipment industry. Its objective is to identify new emerging technologies and possible areas of cooperation, to participate in the International Mining Conference and make presentations on the strength and opportunities in Indian Mining sector, and to visit one of the leading Australian Coal Mines.
The delegation will meet with the officials of Australian Government, Mining Association, prospective partners and select mines officials at Mackay, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.
The visit of the delegation would specifically focus on the opportunities in the coal mining sector where we expect to see possibilities of joint ventures with the Austrlian companies.
The delegation comprises senior officials from Coal India Ltd. & their subsidiaries, mineral mining companies, consultants and trading organizations.
